Edgar Momplaisir is an accomplished television writer, producer, comedian, and performer whose work has spanned some of the most recognizable networks and streaming platforms in the entertainment industry. Born in New York City and partially raised in McAllen, Texas, Edgar Momplaisir later established himself in Los Angeles, where he built a successful career in comedy and television writing.

Since 2018, Edgar Momplaisir has operated Los Negritos, his production and loan out company, through which he has contributed to a wide range of television projects. His writing credits include work for Comedy Central, Netflix, FOX, Paramount+, and ABC. Over the years, he has held numerous creative roles, from staff writer and story editor to consulting producer and supervising producer. His television credits include Dear White People, black-ish, What Just Happened?!?!, Krapopolis, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Everybody Still Hates Chris.

In addition to his television work, Edgar Momplaisir is an active performer in the comedy community, appearing with UCB teams and stage productions. He also enjoys writing and directing short films, showcasing his talents across multiple creative disciplines. He has developed several original television pilots through Los Negritos, and continues to pursue the opportunity to bring one of his own creations to series.
